MILESTONES
Along with our guiding principles, we've set up a system of milestones as steps you'll need to follow for success. Fulfilling each of these is crucial to bringing your vision to life, helping your project succeed, and fulfilling 30% of the requirements in our challenge.
-
TEAM MEMBERS
A successful project will be a true group effort. There are some very capable team members out there with the skills you need. Find them! You'll need to recruit at least 2 or more team members for this milestone.
-
TRAFFIC
Get people to your project by evangelising it wherever you can. Get on your social networks, your blog, or your soapbox and talk it up! It's a great way to gain exposure, get input, solicit ideas, comments and collaboration. It's also the perfect way to find teammates to help out. You'll need to get 250 unique visitors to your project.
-
IMAGE
Give your project a face. People want to know who you are and what it is you're doing. A profile picture is your first step. Sharing a project diagram or photo will also increases your project's visibility. The better people can identify with your project, the better it will do.
-
VIDEO
As your project moves along, people will want to see your progress. So show us what you're up to. Show us your workspace. Show us your invention in whatever stage it may be. It's a great way to get people excited about what your doing. You'll need to upload a video greater than 45 seconds.
-
PITCH PRESENTATION
Treat your project like you're launching a business and sell us all on your idea. A good pitch presentation will detail your vision, your objective, your goals and any details that explain how you plan to carry out your project. Your presentation should be at least 10 slides.
-
TIMELINE
In order to design a well thought out plan for your project, a detailed timeline is invaluable. Creating your timeline will help you think through many elements of your project, including goals, required skills, resources and more. The more detailed your timeline, the easier it will be to bring your idea to life.
